Alexis Gorman

Co-Founder, IR & Corporate Communications Practice, Spencer Stuart

Alexis Gorman is a founding member of Spencer Stuart’s Corporate Communications Practice, and a core member of the firm’s Marketing Officer Practice.  She specializes in working with clients on Chief Communications Officer, Chief Investor Relations Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer searches, as well as advising on succession planning.  

Alexis’ areas of expertise include the public relations, media relations, crisis communications, thought leadership, brand management, employee communications, social media, digital communications, community affairs, and investor relations functions.  During her tenure at Spencer Stuart, she has worked on more than 200 client engagements for companies that span a wide variety of industries, including financial services, consumer goods, media, healthcare, and technology. 

With over a decade of executive search experience, Alexis has conducted assignments across the United States as well as internationally.  Her team has been a recipient of the firm’s annual award for the highest quality client service.

Earlier in her career, Alexis worked in financial services for The Vanguard Group, where she held various roles in the company’s corporate marketing, educational savings and 401(k) retirement savings departments.  She also earned her NASD Series 6 and NASD Series 63 licenses. 

Alexis  graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology.  She is a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds, the Public Relations Society of America, and The Association for Women in Communications.  She also participates in conferences and events held by the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and the Arthur W. Page Society.
